Flickr is an image and video hosting website and was one of the earliest Web 2.0 applications. In addition to being a popular Web site for users to share personal photographs, the service is widely used by bloggers as a photo repository. Its popularity has been fueled by its organization tools, which allow photos to be tagged and browsed.

I can upload pictures to Flickr to share with family and friends. I can also make a slideshow of my uploaded photos. I can use Flickr as an online storage space for photos.

Del.icio.us

Del.icio.us is a social bookmarking website -- the primary use of del.icio.us is to store your bookmarks online, which allows you to access the same bookmarks from any computer and add bookmarks from anywhere, too. On del.icio.us, you can use tags to organize and remember your bookmarks, which is a much more flexible system than folders.

Del.icio.us allows me to place all my bookmarks in one location. I can access my bookmarks from any computer by logging into Del.icio.us. By using tags, I can easily recognize groups of related bookmarks.

Skype

Skype was founded in 2003 by Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis. Skype created a little piece of software that makes communicating with people around the world easy and fun. With Skype you can say hello or share a laugh with anyone, anywhere. And if both of you are on Skype, it’s free. Skype is available in 28 languages and is used in almost every country around the world.

Skype is a program that utilizes the Internet to make phone calls around the world. It is a tool that one can use to communicate through instant messaging or group conferences between departments or between continents. As a student, I used this program to contact my classmates and teachers.
